A spokesman for the Irish National Lottery has announced one lucky person has a winning jackpot ticket worth a cool €11m in prize money.
The jackpot which has been rolling over since June is the biggest National Lottery jackpot in two years. With no other winning tickets from the draw, the lucky player scoops the full amount.
It is not yet known whether the winner is an individual or a syndicate because no-one has yet come forward to claim the staggering sum. However, we do know the ticket was purchased in Co Wicklow, and lotto officials are urging everyone to check their tickets.
A spokesman for the Irish National Lottery said: "The message is to everybody in the country to check their tickets. It's going to be a massive surprise to whoever it is, and we hope to hear from them in the morning."
It seems this massive winner might not even be aware they have won yet. If you haven't checked your tickets the winning numbers from the draw on Wednesday 21st August were 10, 13, 23, 24, 25, 44 with 12 the bonus number.
If you are the lucky ticket holder, please be sure to sign the back of the ticket. Keep it safe and contact the National Lottery prize claims team on 01-8364444 and they will make arrangements for you to collect your prize.
